Jim Brickman to perform in a one night only concert at Eastwood Mall
Jim Brickman will be back in Manila! On October 28, 2009, the Grammy nominated artist who captured the hearts of Filipinos with his powerful ballads such as “The Gift” and “Valentine” will be having a one-night-only concert at the Eastwood Mall Open Park, Eastwood City, Quezon City.
Songs of Jim Brickman, America’s romantic piano sensation have been part of the lives of Filipinos through the years. From weddings to intimate celebrations, Jim Brickman’s music is part of almost every Filipino’s life soundtrack.
Jim revolutionized the sound of Adult Contemporary music with his pop-style solo piano. Over the course of his remarkable career, Jim was named SESAC “Songwriter of the Year,” and earned a Canadian Country Music Award for “Best Vocal/ Instrumental Collaboration,” and Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Associate for The Gift. He continues to be the most charted Adult Contemporary artist of the decade.
Jim established a reputation for collaborations with gifted vocal talents like Martina McBride, Michael W. Smith, Michael Bolton, Lady Antebellum, Carly Simon, Donny Osmond and others. Among his hits are “Valentine,” “The Gift,” “Never Alone,” “Love of My Life” and “Peace.”

Tokyo Café brewing soon at The Venetian Mall
This October 2009, Tokyo Café is set to to open its 3rd store at the Mckinley Hill Town Center’s new Venetian Mall in Taguig city.
Tokyo Café is the only Japanese style family restaurant in the Philippines. Now on its 4th year in business, it has gained a loyal following and popularity especially among families and young professionals because of its uniquely concocted Western dishes fused with that distinct Japanese touch - reminiscent of Tokyo’s growing dining trend. Moreover, it is known for its signature coffee blends that uses the traditional coffee drip method created by its executive director and coffee connoisseur Atsushi Yoshizawa.
To be situated at the ground floor fronting the Venetian’s main entrance, the 87-seater cafe promises a more chic décor with its all-glass panel , yet maintaining its signature minimalist style and cozy ambience.

Now, with this latest store, we are reaching to both the Makati and The fort bonifacio market. At Tokyo Café , popular dishes include Garlic Cream Hamburg topped with mushroom sauce; the extremely tender pork Katsu Sandwich; crispy Chicken and Cheese Roll; Hamburg and Shrimp steak and Bacon Tomato Cream Pasta tossed in a creamy cheese tomato sauce topped with crispy bacon bits. Specialty coffee blends include the Sumibi Yaki, with its bold and distinctive flavor, and Tokyo blend, a fusion of various origins of coffee beans that taste both sour and smooth.

Father’s Day at Eastwood City
It was bonding to the extreme. Last June 19 to 21, Eastwood Mall, Quezon City, turned into a certified Daddy’s World in celebration of Father’s Day. Cars and gadgets exhibits, and extreme sports activities lined up the Eastwood Mall, transforming it into a Daddy’s playland for that weekend. Jaguar and Hyundai also showcased their hottest wheels while Canon gadgets and Isukoshi massage chairs were also displayed for the weekend-long celebration. Lucky fathers also won cool Canon products and gas up to P30,000 from Caltex in the Daddy’s World raffle promo.
Bimmer, Euro-Car, and Mini Cooper car clubs also displayed their cars on June 21 at the Eastwood Mall to share their passion for their automobile brand of choice, to other enthusiasts. ATOY, the number one auto-styling company in the country, and Concept One Wheels also joined in to show their designs and inspire car fanatics on how to pimp up their wheels.
